ABOUT CHÂTEAU D'OYRÉ
Château d’Oyré was built in the early 15th century (1396-1407) by Hardouin de Roches, Lord of the Bans, in the Loire Valley. Nestled in a picturesque country landscape, the chateau and it’s many outbuildings is set in 11 hectares of gardens and parklands which in turn is surrounded by its own 80 hectares of farmland. Privacy is assured.
We are situated on the outskirts of Clermont-Créans and 4 minutes drive to the village of La Fléche, famous for the Prytanée National Militaire and the home of the La Fléche Zoo. CD has a rich history playing host to kings, knights and barons, one of those we have been told was a teenage Henri IV.
The chateau and gardens are a fairy tail backdrop for weddings as well as providing spacious areas for corporate events and gatherings.
The grounds offer a tennis court with seating area and bbq, swimming pool and pavilion, chapel, a large walled french garden, many laneways and paddocks of petting animals.
The chateau comprises accommodation of 17 all ensuited luxury bedrooms (sleeping up to 35 guests), a grand glass reception room and orangerie seating 299 guests (along with a commercial kitchen and toilet facilities), plus a range of reception rooms including a grand salon with billiard table, music salon with grand piano, wood panelled dining room and spacious kitchen.
Additional outbuildings include a private cocktail bar, and a PMR suite (wheelchair accessible).
